The "Spring Festival in Xi'an, Most Cultural and Traditional" (Xi'an nian, zui Zhongguo) is a trademark event of Xi'an's Spring Festival celebrations. It is an established byword that the municipal government has endorsed since 2018 to promote Xi'an as the ideal place and best International tourist destination for spending the Chinese New Year – the oldest, grandest and most important traditional festival in China.

The annual themed activity, both traditional and modern, encompasses a series of cultural events and programs taking place in well-designated and festively adorned locations across the city, demonstrating the dynamic and hospitable metropolis in every respect. Repertoire events and celebrations include lantern festivals, temple fairs, a gourmet festival, Chinese intangible cultural heritage demonstrations, folk music and dance performances bookended by opening and concluding galas. Usually the events start a few days before Spring Festival and last for nearly two months.
