Covering a total area of 116,000 square meters, Harbin 242 Hospital was founded in 1954, and is affiliated to Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd. It is a comprehensive 3A-grade hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, and scientific research.

The hospital has 69 clinical departments and 22 medical laboratories, with 1,200 patient beds. It employs 954 members of staff, 188 of whom hold senior titles. The departments of neurological rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, urology, general surgery, gynecology, cardiology in the hospital have their own certain technical advantages also.
