Weifang New Epoch School

Weifang New Epoch School, funded by the Shanghai-based Epoch Education Group, was officially opened in September 2014. It now covers a combined floor area of 180,000 square meters, with an investment of 800 million yuan ($115.95 million).

The school has two campuses, in Weifang Binhai Economic and Technological Development Zone and Weifang National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, and a kindergarten in the city's Kuiwen district, so it offers preschool, elementary, middle and high school education.

Apart from the basic facilities, including gymnasium, library, dining hall and teaching buildings, the school has music rehearsal rooms, dance studios, taekwondo and yoga gyms, and calligraphy classrooms to help children cultivate their personal interests and develop a full range of skills.

To broaden students' horizons and foster their scientific spirit, the school has introduced international courses in critical thinking, youth leadership, career planning, comparison between Chinese and Western cultures, as well as STEAM Education courses. It has also established 14 innovation studios for robotics, 3D printing, facilities to build unmanned aerial vehicles, model airplanes and rockets.

The school has reached cooperation with the University of Reading in England for exchange of teachers. In cooperation with South Korea's Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the school opened Korean classes, from which students can enter renowned universities in South Korea, including Yonsei University, Woosong University, and Seoul National University of Science and Technology.

The school has also jointly set up senior high school courses with schools in Canada and the United States. The AP (Advanced Placement) program is conducted at the school with the approval of the American College Board.

Highly qualified and experienced foreign teachers are employed to teach students in small classes from the first grade. Extracurricular English communication activities are also carried out to cultivate students' English listening and speaking abilities.

The school is qualified to accept foreign students.
