Two companies from Quzhou, Zhejiang province, along with 28 other counterparts, were recently identified as the province's time-honored brands by the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, local media reported on April 9.

Zhejiang Baizefang Food Co was developed from the Xu Family Rice Store in South Song Dynasty (1127-1279). For hundreds of years, Xu family's descendants have managed the distributions of grains and oil.

Baizefang is one of the most influential companies in Quzhou and has been identified as the inheritor of Zhejiang intangible culture heritage and a famous Zhejiang company.

Kaihua Daxing Restaurant originated in the reign of emperor Kangxi (1654-1722). However, in the 1980s, Daxing was shut down and became a memory for Kaihua natives.

In 2009, chef He Zhengrong realized the cultural value of the century-old restaurant and decided to reopen it.

In order to restore Daxing's traditional flavor, He visited the chefs of old Daxing and recovered the restaurants' classic cuisines and all of them have been included in the menu of Zhejiang cuisines.
