Taiyuan’s Yongzuo Temple, also known as Twin Pagoda Temple, was built during the reign of Emperor Wanli of the Ming Dynasty (1574-1620), and it has a history of 400 years. With their heights exceeding 54 meters, the pagodas overlook the city's existing ancient architecture and have been dubbed as the cultural landmark of Taiyuan. Boasting more than 6,000 peony flower trees with 200 varieties, the temple is renowned for its seven peony trees named Zixia Fairy, which are 400 years old.
