Guangxi New Development Transportation Group

Founded in March 2003, Guangxi New Development Transportation Group is a large scale State-owned enterprise directly under the management of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region people’s government. In September 2018, it was merged into Guangxi Beibu Gulf Port Group. Based on the design and construction of transportation infrastructures, the group engages in material trade, technological cooperation with foreign countries, investment operation and real estate development.

With professional and technical staffs and complete industrial chain, the group has strong comprehensive strength and competitiveness in large-scale projects, and it functions as a main force in transportation and infrastructure construction projects in Guangxi.

Headquartered in Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi, the group boasts 16 subordinate enterprises, as well as six holding and shareholding companies, with a staff totaling 12,500 employees. At present, its gross value of assets recorded is 36.8 billion yuan ($5.48 billion), and the net asset totaled 16.8 billion yuan.

Relying on the technical experts of Chinese Academy of Engineering, the group has cultivated advanced core technologies, and received many honorable titles at national and regional level, including the Luban Award and the Zhan Tianyou Award, the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and more than 400 other awards at the provincial and ministerial level or above.

Over the past 16 years, the group has created a host of landmark projects, including the Nanning Yonghe Brigde, the 5th Wuhan Jianghan Bridge, and the Chongqing Wanzhou Bridge. Currently, the group is undertaking the construction of the Hezhou-Laibin Expressway, Laibin-Bama Expressway, and Rongshui-Hechi Expressway, all of which have an investment of 71.3 billion yuan.

Adhering to the development idea of “innovation, coordination, ecology, openness, and sharing”, the group has accelerated its transformation and upgrading efforts to promote its latest development, aiming to become a comprehensive operator integrating transportation and urban infrastructure construction.
