The State Council announced the cancellation of 25 administrative approval items to further simplify administration, including two that are Taiwan-related, on March 6, 2019.
First, mainland fishermen employed in offshore services by Taiwan fishing vessels will no long need boarding permits granted by the mainland.
This is a measure to further enhance cross-Straits labor cooperation, according to a press conference of the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office on March 27, 2019.
Second, exhibitions in the mainland which are co-hosted by institutions from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, including cross-Straits economic and technological fairs, only need to file for supervision instead of being examined and approved.
In this way, Taiwan institutions-hosted exhibitions will be further facilitated, as will economic and trade cooperation between the mainland and Taiwan.
