Hohhot Metro

Construction of the Hohhot metro started in 2016. According to the government plan, the metro will consist of lines 1 and 2, stretching over 51.4 kilometers with investment of 33.9 billion yuan ($5 billion).

Line 1, stretching over 22.7 km, will be connected by 19 stations from Jinhai Industrial Park Station to Baita Station. Line 2 will be connected by 24 stations from East Xindian Station to Maoshengying Station.

The construction work on Line 1 is expected to be completed soon and the line will start trial operations at the end of 2019.
