Xi’an Shiyou University

Xi’an Shiyou University is the only multi-disciplinary higher education institution featuring petroleum and petrochemical in the northwest region. The school headquarters is located in Electronic Industrial Park of High-tech Industrial Development Zone of Xi’an, the south campus is located in Xi’an Zhangba East Road, and the new campus is located in Xi’an Fengjing Industrial Park of Huyi District. The school covers an area of 2,133 mu, with total fixed assets of 2.505 billion yuan and a total value of 441 million yuan. At present, there are more than 3,600 doctoral students, more than 17,000 undergraduates, more than 600 foreign students, and more than 10,000 students in continuing education program. Since the establishment of the school, trainings have been offered to more than 110,000 graduates.

The school has 14 colleges and three direct departments. At present, there is one joint training doctoral degree, 14 master's degree programs and four non-added second-level disciplines, five master's degree programs authorized category, and 15 professional degree points. There are seven dominant disciplines in ordinary colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province, and one characteristic subject of philosophy and social sciences in colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province. There are 24 provincial and ministerial-level key laboratories (engineering technology research centers); there are five national-level specialties, 10 Shaanxi specialty schools, and five Shaanxi famous brand majors.

The school has more than 1,600 faculty members, including more than 1,000 full-time teachers. There are more than 500 professors and associate professors; there are more than 380 doctoral tutors and master tutors. There is one key scientific and technological innovation team in Shaanxi Province; there are 42 experts at the national, provincial and ministerial level with outstanding contribution and they were awarded as Specialists Entitled to the State Council Special Allowance, and 28 of National Model Teachers, Shaanxi province Teacher’s Moral Model and National Teachers advanced Individual, Excellent Teachers, Distinguished Teachers.
