Taihang Mountains, stretching over 1,000 kilometers, look spectacular along the main line of Yangquan, Jinzhong, Changzhi and Jincheng cities. The mountain range enters Shanxi province at the Niangzi Pass, and winds through Jinzhong, Changzhi and Jincheng as towering, steep mountains. The height averages 1,500 meters above sea level, and stands higher than 2,000 meters in some sections. Located at the intersection of Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces, the Hukou Waterfall is the largest waterfall on the Yellow River.
