Eastern Qing Tombs Scenic Spot is an imperial mausoleum complex from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) in Zunhua, a county-level city in Tangshan,Hebei province. It is located just 125 kilometers to the east of Beijing.

Surrounded by green mountains and rivers, the scenic spot covers a vast open area of 80 square kilometers. The tombs are the largest, most complete and best preserved mausoleum complex in China.

The tomb complex was initially established in 1663 when the dynasty was ruled by the fourth emperor - Emperor Kangxi. Construction work lasted until 1908 when Empress Dowager Cixi was buried. During this 247 year period, the tomb complex witnessed the ups and downs of the dynasty.

Stretching 125 km from south to north, it has 15 cemeteries for a total of 161 imperial members, including 5 emperors (Shunzhi, Kangxi, Qianlong, Xianfeng and Tongzhi) and 15 empresses, as well as over 580 structures, including towers, palaces, memorial arches and Buddha statues. All of them are of great cultural and artistic significance.

At present, only four cemeteries – Yuling Tomb, Eastern and Western Dowager Tombs, and Xiangfei Tomb are open to tourists.
