Zhu De’s Former Residence, Nanchong

Zhu De’s Former Residence scenic area is located in Ma’an town, Yilong county, Nanchong, and has a history of over 190 years. It was listed as one of the national 5A-level scenic areas in 2016.

The scenic area covers several tourist attractions, such as the memorial hall, Zhu De’s former residence, Ding Manor and Well Gem.

Ding Manor, jointly built by Ding’s brothers–Ding Qiunan and Ding Qiuyu – covers 6,800 square meters. It is known as the best manor in northern Sichuan, and was listed as one of the national key cultural relics protection units in 2003.

The core visiting area covers 5.6 square kilometers and its annual visitor number is about 2 million.

Zhu De was a great proletarian revolutionary, statesman, military strategist and one of the main founders of the People's Liberation Army. His revolutionary and meritorious life shines through the ages.

The manor has been an important base in the country for patriotism and revolutionary tradition education.

     Free for Zhu De’s former residence but ticket for Ding Manor is 13 yuan ($1.90)
