Composed of West Lake and Honghua Lake, it features peaceful mountains and lakes with deep historical and cultural backgrounds. Rated as a national scenic spot and 5A tourist attraction, it is a stunning place for leisure and sightseeing.
Huizhou West Lake is known for its five lakes, six bridges and eighteen scenes. The green and overlapping mountains embrace the lake while the lush islets float around the hidden antique pavilions. The main sceneries of Huizhou West Lake include Sizhou Tower, the Bird Watching Pavilion, Flying Geese Mountain, Fengshan Mountain, Lotus Pond, Jiuqu Bridge and more.
Located in the southwestern part of West Lake, Honghua Lake Scenic Spot is not only the place for tours and vacations, but is essential for local flood protection and water supply. It features green mountains, lush trees, limpid rivers and natural fens. On the north of Honghua Lake lies Gaobang Mountain, with overlapping ranges and greenery. It crawls around the lake like a dragon, elegant and graceful. Gaobang Mountain is citizens' top choice for hiking and fitness exercises.
