Covering 3.19 square kilometers, Deng Xiaoping’s Former Residence scenic area is located in Xiexing town in Sichuan’s Guang’an city.

Deng Xiaoping, the former leader of the country, rendered outstanding service to the Chinese people, and especially in later years when, after the disastrous "cultural revolution" (1966-76), he succeeded in setting the country on the road to socialist modernization.

An exhibition hall was constructed and opened in 2004 to celebrate the centennial birthday of Deng Xiaoping. The building area of the exhibition museum reached 3,800 square meters and was formed by several halls, such as the film hall and three display halls.
