Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History, located in Saihan district in Hohhot, was established to mark the 70th anniversary of Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

Featuring eastern and western exhibition areas, the museum displays specimens of ancient creatures and plants to enable more people to learn about the history of the area.

It also showcases Inner Mongolia's natural resources and traditional medicine. Its dinosaur exhibition hall will be one of its highlights. 

Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History started trial operations on Oct 8.
