Nangang Science Park

Nangang Science Park is an important park in the west of Hefei and a core part of the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone. Located at Shushan district, it plays an indispensable role in the development of the local economy and industries. It has been designated an “Anhui provincial industrial demonstration park of new industrialization” and a “municipal industry cluster of modern logistics”. 

The park was jointly founded by cooperative agreement between the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone and Shushan district in August 2007. The planning land area of the first phase is 12.4 sq km. The coverage was extended to 20.2 sq km by a supplementary agreement signed in December 2010.

The park boasts sound infrastructures and supporting facilities, and its urban functions keep expanding. It has attracted a great number of innovation resources and achievements in technology and science.

A number of leading enterprises, such as Whirlpool (China), Chang’an Automobile and Sinotrans Container Lines have settled in the park, forming three industry clusters of home appliances, automobiles and modern logistics.
