Bonds of friendship were increased along the Belt & Road on May 22 when some 20 students from six foreign countries arrived in Zhuhai at the three-day finale of the China-exploration trip.

The young visitors from Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar, among other countries, were joined by Chinese students from around the country.

They admired the soon-to-open world's longest sea crossing -- the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB). On-site experience at Hengqin's International Tennis Center and Planning Exhibition Hall gave an overview of the nationally approved Hengqin New Area while Chimelong Ocean Kingdom offered a few hours of thrills. Also on the itinerary were interactions with more than 80 students at Yung Wing (Rong Hong) School, which is named after the "forefather of overseas Chinese study."

The Zhuhai visit concludes the "Belt & Road·People-to-People Bonds Hand-in-Hand Activity of Seven-Country Students Touring in China." The campaign was initiated last May by the China Charity Federation and led by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It promotes exchanges and mutual learning about culture, history, technology, and daily lives among teenagers from countries along the Belt & Road route.

En route to Zhuhai, the group set out on their journey in Xi’an of Shaanxi Province, and toured through Beijing, Hangzhou of Zhejiang Province, and Fuzhou of Fujian Province.
