Ordos Mongolian Hospital 

Founded in 1979, Ordos Mongolian Hospital is a comprehensive hospital featuring traditional Mongolian medicine located in Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

With a total construction area of 59,152 square meters, the hospital has two branches, one in Kangbashi district and the other in Dongsheng district. It employs 338 staff members, 90 percent of which are medical technicians. Also, 480 inpatient beds are on offer.

The hospital has 18 clinical departments, as well as an independent traditional Mongolian medicine laboratory. It has one national-level key specialty (traditional healing practices) and three key specialties approved by the autonomous region’s government (traditional healing practices, dermatology, and psychosomatic medicine). Advanced equipment is also available at the hospital to deal with different kinds of diseases.   

The hospital adheres to the therapeutic principle of prioritizing traditional Mongolian medicine while supplementing it with western medicine.

Since the founding of the hospital, fruitful achievements have been seen in scientific research of traditional Mongolian medicine with more than 40 ongoing and finished projects. So far, more than 10 types of new medicines have been put into practice.
