Shanghai High School International Division (SHSID) was founded in June, 1993 and became an International Baccalaureate (IB) member school in 1995. In 2002, it became the only UNESCO associated school in Shanghai. SHSID enrolls Grade 1 to 12 students from foreign countries, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Currently, there are over 2,930 students from 50 countries and regions on campus.

SHSID offers approximately 600 compulsory and optional courses, including US-based program, the IB Diploma program, and AP courses. In addition,SHSID is also test centers of IB, AP, PSAT, SAT, and TOEFL.Dozens of students have received full marks on these tests.Besides, the average IB score in 2011 was 41.5 out of 45,which ranked high in the world. A large number of graduates have been admitted to many well-known universities throughout the world. 80% of those who applied for American universities have been admitted to TOP 50 American universities.
