Creative products prolong tourists' Yangzhou memory

A store highlighting Slender West Lake creative cultural products opened on Feb 23 at the Dongguan Street scenic area in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, attracting numerous visitors and shoppers.

Souvenirs combining Yangzhou elements with modern sensibilities, technologies and design are available for sale at the store, covering various categories such as stationery, tea sets, household items and trinkets.

"I am very surprised to see the store at Dongguan Street and it offers multiple choices," said a visitor from Shanghai surnamed Li.

"I bought several fun and cute products as gifts for my family to share my Yangzhou memory with them."

Jin Chuan, director of the Slender West Lake scenic area management office, said that the store was an attempt to expand its cultural market outside the scenic area, as well as promote culture of Yangzhou and the Slender West Lake. 

According to Jin, there are 30 sales outlets in the Slender West Lake scenic area.
