Gross output of cultural and creative industries has been steady, with 10 billion yuan ($1.5 billion) achieved in 2015, comprising 5 percent of Zhuhai's GDP, according to the White Paper.

Industrial layout has gradually matured with an initial formation of digital content, cultural tourism, creative design, and cultural products. Seven districts including Jida and Hengqin New Area have set specific goals for specialized local cultural and creative industry development.

Moreover, remarkable achievements have been made in deepening cultural reinstitution, fostering cultural projects, hosting large cultural activities; and in protecting, developing, and using historical resources.
