Those enterprises above designated size produce 330,000 kiloliters of wine in total, and achieved revenue of 22.8 billion yuan and profits of 3 billion yuan, up by 0.3 percent, 7.3 percent, and 6.7 percent year on year respectively.

At a Chinese brands value evaluation information conference in 2015, Yantai's wine, whose brand value is worth 89.64 billion yuan, ranked 2nd in the group of alcohol and beverage geographical indication products. By the end of 2015, the city had eight state-level famous trademarks and 18 provincial-level ones.

Media at home and abroad, including UK's wine media brand Decanter, China Wine Newspaper, South Korea’s Aju Business Daily, and Xinhua News Agency, also wrote articles on Yantai wine.

The city also focused on building wine chateau clusters. In 2015, there were 61 wine chateaus that were already built or under construction. A batch of chateaus such as Scottish Castle, Chateau Saflam, and Chateau Reifeng has also become popular scenic spots.

By the end of 2015, the city's wine enterprises had built a total of 37,300 hectares of wine bases.

Some 25 prestigious wine experts have been invited to form a professional commission in Yantai, giving advices on industrial development and technological innovation.

The city has also been working on enhancing foreign exchanges and cooperation in wine industry. In March, it organized local wine enterprises to attend the 92th China Food and Drinks Fair. During the fair, Yantai wine attracted more than 3,000 buyers from over 20 countries. Over 200 cooperation deals have been reached.
