Aluminum industry

The aluminum industry is one of Baotou’s five pillar industries, with an annual capacity of 1.3 million tons. With Baotou Aluminum Group and East Hope Baotou Rare Earth Aluminum Company as the core enterprises, the industry is facilitating research and development of new products. It attaches great importance to the development of acieral, high-quality aluminum rolling products, high-grade foil and rare earth alloys to form an aluminum products industry chain.

The Aluminum industry increased by 4.9 percent over the first three quarters of 2017 compared with the same period last year.
