Asihatu Stone Forest

Asihatu Stone Forest is located in the northeast of Hexigten Banner of Chifeng. It was formed with horizontal and vertical rock joints due to magma, glaciers, thawing ice, wind erosion and landslides.
Within an area of 5 square kilometers, there are unusual mountains and stones of various shapes. The scenic spot is a multi-functional geological park combining such functions as scientific study, sightseeing and education.
It is 90 kilometers from Jingpeng town and Hexigten Banner, and 45 km from Linxi town, Linxi county. Travelers taking the train can come to Chifeng first and then transfer to a mini-bus to go to Tianheyuan town, and then hire a local vehicle. Travelers can also rent a vehicle to go there directly from Chifeng, Jingpeng town or Linxi town.
In terms of accommodation, Mongolian tents, villas of various classes and Huanggangliang Tourist Resort are available.
It was designated a 5A-level scenic site in Oct 29, 2018.
