Automobile and Parts Industry

As a nationally important automobile industry base, Shenyang is home to two automobile industrial parks, one in Tiexi district and the other in Dadong district. It is also home to eight automobile manufacturing plants, including those of BMW Brilliance and Shanghai GM Norsom.

In 2016, the automobile industry was valued at 196.16 billion yuan ($29.55 billion), and the output of finished automobiles at 1.053 million, of which BMW Brilliance's output comprised 306,000.

BMW Brilliance Plant in Tiexi district is the largest production base established by BMW GY in the world.
