Windows of the World, the first well-known Chinese cultural theme park, is located in the Nanshan district of Shenzhen. With a philosophy of promoting world culture, it depicts scenes of historic interest, beauty and varied ethnicity. The park is divided into five parts, each representing a continent.

The park has replicas of many world-renowned cultural heritages such as the Egyptian Pyramid, the Great Temple of Ammon, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the Grand Canyon in the United States, the Arch of Triumph in Paris, the Taj Mahal in India, the Sydney Opera House in Australia and the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy. The World Square at the center of the park can accommodate nearly ten thousand tourists. There are ten famous sculptures at the front of the square and 108 stone pillars around it, together with a wall of relief carvings and six great gates representing world civilizations.

The attraction is well-equipped with various kinds of vehicles such as gypsy caravans and rubber rafts.

It was named in the first group of National 4A tourist attractions by the National Tourism Administration in 2001.
