China Tourism Industries Exposition
Jointly sponsored by China National Tourism Administration and Tianjin Municipal People's Government and with special support from the World Tourism Organization, China Tourism Industries Exposition is another carrier following the China Domestic and International Travel Marts for the promotion of tourism industry development. It aims to build platforms for the trading of tourism products and supplies, exchange of tourism culture and art performances, and discussion and researches on the development of the tourism industry.
China Tourism Industries Exposition has been held successfully for eight years since 2009, which has attracted delegations from more than 80 countries and regions as well as 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in China, with a total of 1.5 million visitors, transactions amounting to 17.8 billion yuan, and over 1100 contracts of intention. The expo has effectively showcased the new achievements of domestic and international tourism manufacturing industries. Fashionable international travel products and equipment, such as RVs, yachts, outdoor gears, have appeared in the expo and become eye-catching products.
The World Economic Forum (WEF) is a Swiss nonprofit foundation, based in Cologny, Geneva.
The Forum is best known for its annual meeting at the end of January in Davos, a mountain resort in Graubünden, in the eastern Alps region of Switzerland. The meeting brings together business leaders, international political leaders, economists, and journalists for up to four days to discuss the most pressing issues in the world.
The organization also convenes some six to eight regional meetings each year in locations across Africa, East Asia, and Latin America, and holds two further annual meetings in China and the United Arab Emirates.
The Annual Meeting of the New Champions is the foremost global business gathering in Asia. Also known as the "Summer Davos", the meeting creates a unique opportunity for exchanges between leaders from top-ranked multinationals and chief executive officers of dynamic and fast-growing companies.
Dalian and Tianjin are the two cities in China who have been selected to host the Summer Davos.
The 13th National Games
The 13th Games of the People's Republic of China was held in Tianjin in 2017, an event sponsored by the Sports Administration of China and hosted by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government. It will be the largest comprehensive sports event ever hosted in Tianjin.
This year's National Games aims to benefit people and promote healthy China, and encourages all the people to share the benefits of sports development.
The 13th National Games, offering 341 items under 42 sub-categories and 31 major categories, lasts for a total of 13 days.
