The advanced equipment manufacturing industry is another featured industry that has a strong industrial basis in the Dalian High-Tech Industrial Zone. 

Currently, there are more than 600 advanced equipment manufacturing companies in the Zone, including such numerical control machine manufacturing enterprises as Dalian Machine Tool Group, Dasen Numerical Control Technology Co. Ltd, such auto-electronic manufacturing enterprises as Matsushita Electric Works, Dalian Muramoto Electronics Co. Ltd, and other manufacturing enterprises like THK, SULZER, Dalian Koyo Wazhou, Dalian Sun Light Plastic Machinery. Equipped with modern facilities and advanced manufacturing processes, many of these high-tech companies have strong R&D resources and have developed brand-name products in the industry.
