Huadeng Opera Troupe of Yunnan Province

Founded in 1954, the Huadeng Opera Troupe of Yunnan Province has developed its repertoires over the last few decades and has nurtured several generations of performing artists who are influential not only in the province, but also across the country.

The troupe boasts a well-balanced cast, and each member is well trained with their speciality. As the only professional Huadeng Opera performer on the provincial level, the troupe also enjoys considerably high reputation in the circle.

The troupe has taken part in many major national and provincial activities, and has done tour performance across the country. Among their performances, many were staged for the heads of foreign nations.

In recent years, the troupe has made performing visits to Indonesia, Laos, South Korea, Thailand, Italy, South Africa, Equatorial Guinea as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan, winning high accolades not only from the experts but also their audiences.
