Traditional Mongolian folk concert held in N China

Around 50 urtiin duu or long songs (traditional Mongolian folk music) artists perform at a concert at Inner Mongolia Arts University in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on May 16. The concert was organized by the China National Arts Fund, aiming to showcase the region's progress in cultivating urtiin duu artists. Urtiin duu is one of the most iconic types of Mongolian singing and was named an intangible cultural heritage item by UNESCO in 2008. [Photo by Wang Zheng/IC]
