China Internet Integrity Conference held in Xi'an

The 2019 China Internet Integrity Conference took place in Xi'an, capital of Southwest China's Shaanxi province, on Dec 2, with more than 500 government officials, representatives of media outlets, social organizations, colleges and universities, as well as scientific research institutes attending.

The conference was hosted by the China Federation of Internet Societies (CFIS) and the Cyberspace Office of Shaanxi Province. It was organized by the Xi'an municipal government.

During the conference, three sub-forums were held, where attendees took part in exchanges and discussions around the topics of "e-commerce integrity construction", "network media and social platform integrity construction" as well as "urban credit system construction under the Internet + model."

CFIS launched a cooperation mechanism of credit construction in platform economy jointly with 31 internet companies, including Alibaba, Tencent, and JD, as well as released the "Xi'an Initiative."

In addition, 16 central news websites and mainstream business websites have signed the "Commitment to Combating Internet Rumors", promising to consciously accept the supervision of internet management departments, as well as jointly create a clean and upright internet space.

As an annual event for the construction of China's internet integrity, the conference aims to create an honest and trustworthy cyberspace environment, as well as help modernize the national governance system and capabilities.
