Direct bullet trains now connect Zhuhai to more cities

With today's launch of the Meizhou-Shantou high-speed railway, Zhuhai travelers can now access Meizhou, Fengshun, Jieyang, Puning, and Shanwei via direct bullet trains.

The G6340 leaves Zhuhai at 5:06 pm and passes by Zhongshan, Guangzhou South, Humen, Shenzhen North, Shenzhen Pingshan, Shanwei, Chaoshan, Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport, Jieyang, and Fengshun East. It arrives in Meizhou West at 10:31 pm.

On the other hand, the G6339 departs Meizhou West at 11:02 am and reaches Zhuhai at 4:29 pm. Stops en route include Jianqiao, Fengshun East, Jieyang, Chaoshan, Puning, Shanwei, Huizhou South, Shenzhen North, Guangzhou South, and Zhongshan.

Tickets for some sections may be subject to discounts of up to 40 percent in the early stage of operations. The railway authority will adjust prices based on passenger flow and time periods.

Furthermore, Meizhou-Shantou is the third route in Guangdong Province to pilot electronic ticketing. Passengers can buy tickets online and swipe their cellphone or ID card at Meizhou West, Shejiang North, Jianqiao, Fengshun East, Jieyang, Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport, and Chaoshan to board the train.
