Zhuhai Airport connects to just-open Beijing mega-hub

Zhuhai's role as a key player in the Greater Bay Area was elevated on Sept 27 with the afternoon arrival of a China United passenger jet at the spectacular new Beijing Daxing International Airport.Beijing's Daxing mega-airport hub is expected to handle up to 45 million passengers per year by 2021 and 100 million eventually. It commenced operations on Sept 25 in the suburbs south of the capital with many state-of-the-art technologies and world-leading capability in ensuring safe flights in low visibility.

China United Airlines became the first to fully move into the new airport in time for the Zhuhai roundtrip flights.

KN5819 flight departs Beijing at 10:55 am and lands at Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport at 4:10 pm after a stop-over at Lyuliang (Dawu) Airport in Shanxi Province. The return flight departs at 1:15 pm and arrives Beijing at 7 in the evening.

Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport is now connected to Beijing by 10 daily flights. The other nine, by China Southern Airlines, Air China, and Shandong Airlines, fly to Beijing Capital International Airport.
