The first train of the Changchun-Tianjin sea-railway combined transportation service departed from the Changchun Xinglong railway port in Changchun, capital of Northeast China’s Jilin province, for Tianjin in North China on July 22.

The train will travel more than 1,000 kilometers carrying 100 TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) of cargo and is scheduled to arrive at Tianjin Port on July 25.

The train is part of a sea-railway combined transportation model in Jilin province, and will boost cooperation between Changchun and Tianjin.

On July 4 this year, the two cities signed a number of cooperation agreements, according to which Tianjin Port will offer more efficient and lower-cost logistics services to Changchun companies in order to pursue joint economic growth.

The service offers more choices for companies in Jilin, and will provide them with better import and export services, according to Wang Yue, chairman of Changchun International Land Port Development Co Ltd.
