Dachen and Jinxing, two villages in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, were included among the first batch of national rural tourism spots in China, according to a recent list by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

With a history of more than 600 years, Dachen village in Jiangshan, a county-level city in Quzhou, boasts picturesque scenery and a rich culture.

Buildings in the village are situated next to mountains and were mostly built in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

In recent years, the village has strived to develop its tourism industry relying on its culture and natural landscapes.

Jinxing village in Kaihua county is built in the Jiangnan (regions south of the Yangtze River) style and has rivers flowing through it.

To date, 98 percent of the land in the village is covered in forest, and the rate of good air quality days reached more than 98 percent last year.

The sparkling waters, lush mountains and beautiful scenery make Jinxing a popular rural tourism destination in China and the perfect place for those looking for a poetic atmosphere.
