Expats learn about new energy technology in Inner Mongolia

Expats from ten developing countries, including Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Nigeria India, Mongolia, Iran, and Indonesia, participated in a professional training session on new energy technology at the Inner Mongolia University of Technology in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 18.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, the 20-day training session is mainly aimed at accelerating the application and promotion of wind and solar energy technology in developing countries, improving the technological level of developing countries, and promoting the common development of the science, technology, and economies of both sides.

The training session is expected to help build a platform for technical exchanges and cooperation between experts from China, Asia, and Africa, and help promote the application of new energy technology in developing countries.

Over the years, Inner Mongolia has continuously expanded scientific and technological cooperation with scientific research institutions in Russia, Mongolia, South Korea, Israel, Sweden, and Greece.

The region has also strengthened communications with developing countries and deepened cooperation and exchanges with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

According to local authorities, since 2008, the region has held 12 technical training sessions for developing countries, in which over 200 scientific and technological managers and technicians from more than 50 developing countries have participated.
