A total of 82 sales contracts valued at about 2.42 billion yuan ($350 million) were signed for Ulaanqab's local green and ecofriendly foods at a docking meeting on production and marketing held in Ulaanqab, a city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 20.

The docking meeting is a result of Beijing-Inner Mongolia cooperation in poverty alleviation. In recent years, Ulaanqab has been taking advantage of the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and promoting the paired-up poverty alleviation mechanisms of Beijing and Inner Mongolia to boost sales of local agricultural and livestock products in Beijing's market.

Due to its unique geographic location and natural conditions, Ulaanqab can produce a variety of green agricultural and livestock products. Green foods for sale at the meeting include potatoes, vegetables, dairy products, coarse cereals and beans, meat, and local specialties.
