The verdant pastures of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region have turned a lush green and the flowers have begun to bloom, marking the beginning of the region's peak tourist season, according to local media reports.

Visitors will have a chance to enjoy the beautiful grasslands, and experience the local minority and grassland cultures during Inner Mongolia's most attractive season.

Local authorities have introduced ten grassland-themed tourism routes intertwining vast natural landscapes, rich and diverse history and cultures, and a nomadic lifestyle to promote the development of holistic and four-season tourism in the region, while also aiming to create high-quality tourism products and attractions.

Tourists are able to choose traditional tourist attractions in Hohhot, Hulunbuir, Tongliao, and other cities and leagues. There is also a specially designed route for primary and secondary school students and their parents giving parents and children an opportunity learn about the local history and cultures of Inner Mongolia through museums. And last but not least, there is a special route focusing on local intangible cultural heritage items.
