Call goes out for volunteers of China-Mongolia Expo

The organizing committee for the third China-Mongolia Expo plans to recruit 550 volunteers from all walks of life from June 27 to July 20, according to local media reports.

The recruited volunteers will receive training on Aug 10-15. They are expected to offer their services at the event on Sept 6-10.

Organizers said that applicants will have to meet certain requirements, including minimum age and body height regulations. People who have volunteered at similar large events over the past two years will be especially welcome.

Volunteers will be needed for tasks such as translations, events hosting, and to provide information to visitors.

The organizing committee will recognize outstanding volunteers and award medals and certificates for their services.

The 3rd China-Mongolia Expo will be held in Hohhot and in Ulaanqab in Inner Mongolia. Nearly 6,000 domestic and foreign guests and exhibitors are expected to attend.

The expo, first launched in 2015, has won wide recognition in China and Mongolia. Organizers said that the event has become a new platform for promoting trade, investment and tourism cooperation between China, Mongolia, and northeastern Asia.
