Buying a Mount Tai pass

Mount Tai Scenic Area in Tai'an, East China's Shandong province launched a range of new pass types on April 1. They can be used to enter Mount Tai and Dai Temple.

The passes allow unlimited access to the two scenic areas within the period of validity.

Pass types

Mount Tai visiting card

Cost: 100 yuan ($14.50) per person

            40 yuan for the emeritus and retired

Qualified persons:

1. Residents belonging to Taishan district, Zhoudian and Tianping sub-district offices of Daiyue district, and Tai'an Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone with identity cards;

2. Alien workers who have worked for more than one year in enterprises in Taishan district, Daiyue district, Tai'an Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Tai'an Tourism Economic Development Zone, and Tai'an High-speed Train New Area with identity cards (collective handling by the labor union of enterprises);

3. External investors with travelling merchant certificates issued by investment departments of Taishan district, Daiyue district, Tai'an Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Tai'an Tourism Economic Development Zone, and Tai'an High-speed Train New Area;

4. Students in colleges and universities, and specialized schools in Tai'an with identity cards and students cards;

5. Foreign or out-of-town teachers working at colleges and universities, and specialized schools in Tai'an with certificates from schools, and passports or identity cards;

6. People from outside the local area owning a house in Taishan district, Zhoudian and Tianping sub-district offices of Daiyue district, Tai'an Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Tai'an Tourism Economic Development Zone, and Tai'an High-speed Train New Area with identity cards, and property ownership certificates or house purchasing contracts.

Annual, biennial and triennial passes

Cost: 200 yuan for an annual pass

                 400 yuan for a biennial pass

                 500 yuan for a triennial pass

Qualified persons:

1. Residents of Shandong province;

2. Students in primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, and specialized schools of Shandong province.

Note:

The Mount Tai travel cards and passes cannot be used during the holidays of Tomb-Sweeping Day, May Day and the National Day.
