Quzhou to host Asian Tug of War Championships

Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province will host the Asian Tug-of-War Championship 2022, according to the Tug of War International Federation (TWIF) Congress held in Spain on April 27.

More than 50 teams from around the world will compete to crown the Asian champions in Quzhou.

Tang Feifan, mayor of Quzhou, detailed conferees from 22 countries at the congress on the city's history, culture, environment and characteristics, noting that Quzhou is ready for the international competition.

To host the sports event is recognition of the development of tug-of-war in Quzhou and the city will take the event as an opportunity to promote tug-of-war among local residents.
