Southwest China's Guizhou province, the province with the largest scale of poverty relief relocation efforts in China, has adopted big data in providing follow-up supports after relocation and has achieved great success.

As one of the key poverty relief projects in China, the poverty relief relocation project relocates people from poverty-stricken areas to more developed communities to help them rise out of poverty.

Panlong relocation community in Tongzi county, Zunyi provides precise and efficient follow-up services for 4,640 residents based on the data collected by a big data platform.

The platform shows data regarding public service, employment training, and community governance by analyzing basic information of the residents.

With the help of the platform, the employment rate in the community has reached 1.5 people per family.

The platform also records and sends latest information regarding community cultural and recreational activities, policy announcement updates, promotion of ethnic culture inheritance, and other community governance to help the relocated residents fit in to the community.

A higher degree of importance is placed on community governance when a large scale of relocated residents moves to cities and towns in a short period of time. By integrating big data with community management, the relocated residents can better adapt to their new life.
