Founded in 1972, the Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities is a 3A-grade hospital, the highest in China's three-tier grading system for public hospitals in Tongliao, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
It is the only national key hospital that combines the therapies of traditional Mongolian medicine and Western medicine, with a focus on the development of traditional Mongolian medicine.

The hospital has three different sections –– an osteopathy hospital and rehabilitation hospital in Tongliao, as well as a comprehensive hospital in Ulan Bator, Mongolia. There are a total of 24 administrative departments, 49 clinical departments and one experimental clinical pharmaceutical institution. The hospital provides 1,500 inpatient beds and currently employs 1,778 staff members, with 32 holding a doctorate.
In 2017, the hospital was listed as an influential national hospital, ranking third out of listed hospitals in the autonomous region.
The hospital also maintains partnerships with more than 60 hospitals in Beijing, Shanghai and Xi’an, ensuring it can provide the very best medical services to patients.
