Zhoushan Greentown Yuhua International School is a private full-time boarding school. Built by the Greentown Group with a total investment of about 800 million yuan ($119.25 million), the school is constructed as a traditional Chinese garden with first-class modern facilities.

It covers the three stages of basic education in China with a total of 60 classes, including 36 classes in primary school, 12 in junior high school, and 12 in high school. Classes for foreign students are set up depending on circumstances.

After more than one year of development, the school now has 27 classes, with 548 students and more than 150 faculty members.

To ensure every student receives adequate attention, the school uses the quasi-small class teaching mode, meaning there are no more than 30 students in each class in primary school, 35 students in junior high school, and 25 students in high school.

The school promotes a Western educational system. With more than 40 elective courses offered to students, the school strives to stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning, broaden their horizons and cultivate their comprehensive qualities.

It has introduced various international exchange activities among teachers and students, including the Sino-German DSD and Sino-US Double Diploma programs. It also provides international classes for children of foreign expats in Zhoushan.

At the beginning of 2019, the headmaster of the Neuenhofer High School of Arts and Sciences and the Karl Schmidt School in Karlsruhe, Germany, visited Zhoushan and these schools became project-friendly schools with the Zhoushan school.

The three schools launched the Sino-German Youth Pioneer Project (Pilot Projekt). In the future, junior high school graduates from Yuhua will have the opportunity to go to Germany to attend high school and apply for college education after completing their school studies.

Process of student applications:
1.Students in all semester classes are required to register for admission to the school on the school site or on the campus network.
2.The school arranges interviews for students who are enrolled in elementary and junior high school. Students who are enrolled in high school are required to participate in the unified entrance examination of Zhoushan city. Non-local students are assessed on the results of their local senior high school entrance examinations and should refer to independent enrollment.
