The China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province held its first International Young Scholars' Forum on "Marine Economy" on April 11.

Co-hosted by Zhejiang Ocean University, Ocean College of Zhejiang University and the Construction Authority of the Ocean Science City of Zhoushan, the forum serves as a platform for outstanding young scholars from around the world to conduct academic exchange in the marine sector, with the hope that they will come to work in Zhoushan and contribute to the local marine economy.

More than 100 young scholars from 26 countries attended the forum, some of whom are from world-renowned universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, and University of Tokyo.

They shared their insights into various areas related to the marine industry, such as marine biology, marine environment protection and marine technology.

In addition, more than 10 scholars signed cooperation agreements with the host units before the forum, and over 30 expressed willingness to cooperate after further discussions.
