Founded in 1976, Maoming Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a large comprehensive 3A-grade Chinese medicine hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, health care and rehabilitation.

The hospital has a building area of about 60,000 square meters, with 1,200 open beds. In 2017, the hospital had 529,190 outpatient visits, 48,732 inpatient visits, 48,594 discharges, and 17,451 surgeries. The hospital saved 675 critical patients in ICU, and served 203,534 people using Chinese medicine.
