Kunming Changshui International Airport

Location:
Kunming Changshui International Airport is located in Guandu district to the northeast of Kunming, around 24.5 kilometers from the city center.

Brief intro:
Initially built in 2007 to replace the former Wujiaba International Airport, Kunming Changshui International Airport was put into use on June 28, 2012. The airport is capable of handling 38 million passengers per year. It has two runways, both of which are able to handle the giant Airbus A380 aircraft. Airlines serving the airport include China Eastern Airlines, Xiamen Air, Korean Air, and Malaysia Airlines.

The seven-storied terminal building, which is designed to highlight the colorful folk culture of Yunnan province, covers 548,300 square meters. The terminal is well equipped with supporting infrastructure and facilities, including banks, boutique stores, restaurants, and childcare areas, satisfying the diverse needs of passengers. In addition, a new terminal (Terminal 2) is planned in the near future.
