Plans to build an exhibition garden for the 4th China Greening Exposition were recently signed in Duyun, Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Southwest China's Guizhou province. The project will be a public-private partnership.

The China Greening Exposition is China's most important greening exposition. It consists of an indoor exhibition, outdoor exhibition garden, green forum, academic seminar, and trade activities.

The outdoor exhibition garden is the highlight of the event, as it showcases the host city's impressive history and local customs, as well as its achievements in afforestation.

The garden is expected to cover an area of 1,959 hectares and receive 2.57 billion yuan ($382 million) in investment. It will consist of three exhibition areas showcasing wetlands, waterfronts, valleys, and lakes.

The lake area will consists of one island, two lakes, four wetlands, six bridges, seven roads adorned with flowers, and a variety of structures such as pavilions, corridors, and wharfs.

As a national demonstration zone for environmental protection and restoration, Qiannan is known for its abundant natural resources and is home to the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST).

The 4th China Greening Exposition will take place there in 2020 and is expected to accelerate the development of Guizhou's green economy.
