A meeting between officials from Shanxi province and representatives of large multinationals took place in Beijing on Feb 25.
The meeting marked part of a global promotion event for the province held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was designed to provide a forum for authorities to negotiate with businesses interested in investing in Shanxi.
A total of 41 international companies, trade and commerce associations, and investment and trade promotion agencies from 17 countries and regions, including Japan, the United States and Germany attended the Beijing meeting.
Some of foreign business representatives with experience of doing business in the province shared their stories with other attendees.
