Legal aid centers in China are established by the judicial departments, and are intended to protect human rights and ensure justice.

The institutes are set up to help parties with financial problems when they need lawyer services and legal assistance.

They are also legal institutions where lawyers can practice just as they can in their law offices.

To date, nearly all provincial regions and cities have set up legal aid centers to make it easier for the public to obtain help. Centers have also been established in many counties to guarantee judicial services in rural areas.
